PRESIDENT’s CUP
PRESIDENT’s TROPHY
THE PRESIDENT’s TROPHY is another which has been with the club for some time, being first contested in 1935.
The committee meeting of May 9, 1935 resolved that the President’s
Trophy should be for match play off handicaps with a 30/- trophy for the winner, 15/- for the runner up and 15/- as the consolation prize.. It was fitting that Cud Kay was the first winner of his Uncle Fred’s trophy! Runner up to Cud was F.W. Osborne with the consolation prize going to D.H. Kay.
Today the President’s Trophy is decided on aggregate points, the best three of four stableford rounds.
